Metta's Code of Conduct for Staff Members

As a Metta Dance Coach, you are a role model and leader. The following code ensures a safe, inclusive, and respectful community.

Professional Boundaries
● Maintain respect and professionalism in all student interactions.
● Avoid favoritism or cliques.
● Help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all.

Confidentiality
● Keep student information private.
● Treat all internal communications as confidential.

Romantic & Sexual Relationships
To maintain a professional learning environment and avoid conflicts of interest, Dance Coaches are strictly discouraged from engaging in romantic or sexual relationships with current Metta students. This policy is in place to protect the integrity of the coach-student relationship, ensure a bias-free environment for all students, and uphold your position as a trusted authority figure within our community. Of course we understand we are human, and emotional/physical attraction is normal, if you are seriously interested in a student, we ask that you share with the leadership team (Carina & Denver) so they can be aware of this dynamic and support you in how to navigate your romantic interest as a dance coach.

Reporting & Accountability
● Report any inappropriate conduct or violations to leadership.
● Breaches of this agreement may result in conversation, retraining, or termination of the
coaching role.
